Are you “app-y”?Posted on May 20th, 2010 @ 8:10 am
Me? I am so APP-Y!!! With 3 new apps that is. I’ve been playing it on my phone since last weekend and now I’m totally hooked. So yeah, you can call me “appy”! Grabe, grabe super nakaka-adik talaga ang Plants vs Zombies, Angry Birds and We Rule (Red). As in, inaabot ako ng madaling araw paglalaro. Even si Mhark, dinowload na din nia ung Angry Birds dahil sobrang aliw laruin. Mejo challenging ung iba and you have to be strategic too. We Rule is like Farmville naman but on your phone. How cool is that? You can pretty much do it anywhere. Di kagaya nung Farmville, you literally have to sit down and play it. Anyway, you both have to buy PvZ ($2.99) and AB ($.99) but WRR is free! And I think for their price, worth it naman kase talagang mag-eenjoy ka. Haha! Endorser..
Here are some of the screenshots of these apps (click to enlarge):
On another HAPPY-HAPPY-JOY-JOY news, I’d like to give a shout out to my friends Yna and Joe.. They’re having a baby BOY!!!
Woohoo! Future Manny Pacquiao! I can’t wait to see baby Joshua in October.
Tatah!

I’m inlove with another “Man”Posted on May 10th, 2010 @ 2:35 pm
His name? ROBERT DOWNEY Jr. Sorry, babe! I just realized he’s my one true love. After seeing him again last night, I thought it was meant to be.
Let me tell you our secret love story…
I first met him back in early 2001 or 2002. It was not love at first sight. He was this cute guy crushing over Mary Stuart Masterson (who dat? see here) who at an unfortunate twist of fate, was the daughter of the woman he truly love, Cybill Shepherd. He was so hanged up with this gal, so much so, that he came back from the dead. Yah, go figure. But nothing could stop me then. I was secretly swooning for him already. After that, I saw him again. In yet another weird circumstances as he was stucked to help four souls with “unfinished businesses”. Yes, there was a girl again, Elizabeth Shue, to be exact but that really didn’t matter. I know he has a pure heart for fulfilled their wish and find their way home. *wink*

Ok, so much about that made-up love story, parang one-sided lang naman din. Haha! As usual, hallucinating na naman ako. Feeling attached. Haha! In case you don’t know, the two “encounters” with Robert Downey Jr were from the movie, Chances Are and Heart and Souls. I did see his movie with Marisa Tomei too entitled, Only You. Cute din story nun kase he pretended to be this guy who Marisa thought was her soulmate which her brother made up when they were still young.
I did not get to follow his career because I was still living in the Philippines during the height of his melt-down. But his flight back up is surely one to go in the books. I was reading some of his bios and as early as 6 yrs old, he was taking marijuana already. His dad was a drug addict so controlled substances are easily accessible to him. Then of course, the curse of being in Hollywood is a very powerful force. Very few was able to pass on it. But 2008 was when the whole world saw him rise up to the top. This time, with proven blockbuster films such Iron Man and Tropic Thunder. His critically-acclaimed portrayal in Tropic Thunder gave him a nomination for the Best Supporting Actor in a Movie with the Academy Awards (he lost to Heath Ledger for Batman Returns). And Ironman? Well, he just owned that character. I don’t think somebody else would have done justice to Tony Starks character as much as Robert did. Sabi nga ng director/co-actor niang si Jon Favreau, “Downey would be to Iron Man what Johnny Depp is to Pirate of the Carribean trilogy.” O di ba? Wagi! And then there’s Sherlock Holmes. What can I say? Super galing talaga! And I guess it goes with the story too. Kung hindi maganda ang plot, any good actor cannot do their job well if a story is not well-written. Oh, and he won a Golden Globe for the Sherlock portrayal!
Hubby and I went to watch Iron Man 2 last night and it was worth the puyat! Kahit may pasok ako kinabukasan, ok lang kase I really wanted to see it. Action-packed na naman and like the first one, I love how he personified Iron Man/Tony Startk. It does not go without saying that he is one brilliant actor. I have yet to see his movie, The Soloist with Jamie Foxx, but I read too that it would have been an Academy Award candidate. Sayang lang dahil sa delayed release.
Hay naku, I obviously have major gushing-over-an-actor issues na naman so I should stop myself now. You guys should go out and watch Iron Man 2! And for all you fellow geeks out there, there’s so many superhero movies coming up in the next year or so. Kaya be on the look out. There’s Thor, The Avengers, The Green Hornet, etc. Revenge of the nerds ito. Hahaha!
Lastly, here are some of the pics I gathered online. Ma-appeal din naman sya di ba?! Enjoy!
